Hearty wave from prince
“In the mid 1950s, whilst on the way to tattie lifting with our mother at Corrielea Farm, Tullybelton Estate, near Bankfoot,” emails Brian Cox of Luncarty, “we came across a shooting party.
“The group was led by Lord Lansdowne and in the middle of it all was Prince Philip. We were given a hearty wave by all including the prince – all very exciting for us commoners. Interestingly, we were on the back of a Land Rover, one of the duke’s favourite motors.”
Any more memories of the late duke?
