Police attend incident in St Andrews street
Police attended an incident in a residential street in St Andrews yesterday.
Multiple emergency services, including police and ambulance, were on the scene at Cant Crescent in the Fife town.
A witness described seeing multiple police vehicles and an ambulance around 5.30pm.
A police officer also guarded a property on the street. The witness said: “I heard sirens and I saw emergency vehicles on the street.
“There were two highpowered police Volvos, six police vans, one normal police car and an ambulance support vehicle.”
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Officers were in attendance as part of an ongoing investigation.”
It is understood there was no threat to the wider public.
