No ruling out of trio for Reds by Klopp

-

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has not ruled out Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alisson Becker being involved in Liverpool’s Europa League quarterfinal against Atalanta tonight.

All three have been sidelined by injury since February but have returned to training and look set to contribute to Liverpool’s push for silverware over the closing weeks of the season.

Teenage midfielder Stefan Bajcetic, who has been out since September, is also back in training but is likely to have to wait a little longer for a first-team return.

Atalanta sit sixth in the Serie A table and put out Sporting Lisbon in the previous round but have won only two of their last nine matches.

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery insists his side’s only focus is the Europa League quarter-final first leg against Lille and not Sunday’s crunch Premier League clash against Arsenal.

Villa are playing their first European quarterfinal in 26 years when the Ligue 1 club visit Villa Park but the prospect of the visit to Emery’s former club three days later is looming.

Asked whether Sunday’s game would impact his selection against Lille, he replied: “No way.

“We are speaking about the match tomorrow in the Europa Conference League, we are not thinking about the match we are going to play. No way, it is not good for us or for me or everybody. I want to focus on the match tomorrow only.”

West Ham’s hopes of another European semifinal have been dealt a major blow with top scorer Jarrod Bowen to miss their quarter-final against Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.

The 19-goal frontman suffered a knee injury during the 2-1 Premier League win at Wolves on Saturday.
