PKAVS’ Ruby Ball bound to sparkle

A DAZZLING fundraiser is to be held to celebrate the 40th anniversar­y of Perth’s largest local charity, PKAVS.

Tickets are selling fast for the Anniversar­y Ruby Ball on the banks of the tay, which will launch a year of birthday celebratio­ns.

The ruby-themed evening at Dunkeld Hilton House Hotel will bring together supporters from business, politics and the local community.

It will include entertainm­ent from T in the Park tent headliners the Big Shoogle and the annual PKAVS’ charity auction.

Lisa Glenday, event organiser from PKAVS, said: “We are thrilled to mark the special occasion of 40 years of ‘Making the Difference’ through our Ruby Ball.

“Not many people realise that we were establishe­d as far back as 1972 and have been providing vital support to local people across Perth and Kinross for four decades.

“The charity ball is our main annual fundraisin­g event and attracts supporters from across Perth and Kinross.

“With the event plans now in full swing, we’re preparing for another glam- orous night of fun and fundraisin­g and hope that our supporters can join us.”
