AT PERTH

Craig Low (34), of Greyfriars Hostel, Princes Street, Perth, was yesterday sent to prison for nine months.

He admitted that on July 30 at Austin Reed, St John’s Street, Perth, he stole shirts and, on the same day, he also stole two hair trimmers from Poundstret­chers in Scott Street, Perth.

John Duncan (26), of Pitheavlis Castle Gardens, Perth, will stand trial at Perth Sheriff Court on September 24.

He denies a charge that on April 6 in South Street, Perth, he conducted himself in a disorderly manner by urinating against a wall at the Loft nightclub, exposed himself in full view to people, refused to stop, shouted and swore and committed a breach of the peace.

Duncan also denies that on the same date and address he resisted, obstructed and hindered two PCs by tensing his arms, flailing his arms, struggling violently and striking one of the officers on the face, grabbing hold of a pair of handcuffs, preventing him from being handcuffed while being arrested.

Nicholas Clarke (19), of Balwearie Mill, Kirkcaldy, will appear for sentence at Perth Sheriff Court on October 3.

He admits that on July 6 at the main campsite at T in the Park, Balado, Kinross-shire, he possessed methcathin­one (“bubbles”) – a class B drug – with intent to supply.

Sentence was deferred for background reports.

Phillip Doris (42), of Nimmo Avenue, Perth, will appear for sentence at Perth Sheriff Court on September 26.

Yesterday, he admitted that on January 20 at an address in NimmoAvenu­e, Perth, he assaulted a special PC by kicking him in the stomach.
