Drawings of Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Perth Museum and Art Gallery, George Street Until 20 October WILHELMINA BARNSGraham was one of the most significant British artists of the 20th century. Her primary practice of painting and printmaking was supported throughout her artistic career with drawing. This is a retrospective, including drawings depicting landscapes, rock formations, waves and glaciers. S J Peploe: The French Connection St Andrews Museum Doubledykes Road Until September 2 ONE OF Scotland’s most important 20th century artists, S J Peploe became an accomplished painter of light and colour-filled landscapes, portraits and still life. He was the eldest of the four artists who became known as the Scottish Colourists. France and its culture were an important source of artistic inspiration for Peploe. Most of Fife Council’s collection of 44 Peploes were purchased in 1964 from the estate of John Waldegrave Blyth, a Kirkcaldy linen manufacturer and keen art collector.
