Café’s monthy event to offer support for health carers
CARERS IN Kinross and the surrounding area are being encouraged to attend a special monthly event.
The Kinross Hub Café for Carers offers a relaxed social environment to support people and develop personal interests.
The café regularly hosts guest speakers, including representatives of Alzheimer Scotland, occupational therapy and Enable Mobility and there have been sessions on complementary therapies, card making and glass painting.
There is also information stalls at each session for visitors to browse details of local services, groups and events, as well as plenty of time for a chat over a cup of tea or coffee.
The café is open to people of all ages at St Paul’s Church Hall, Kinross, on the first Monday of every month – except January 2013 when the session will be held on January 7 – between 10am and noon.
There is no need to book and there is ample parking and suitable access for wheelchairs.
Signif icant upcoming dates include the Christmas Café on December 3 between 10am and noon with entertainment by pupils from Kinross High School and a visit from Santa.
On January 7 the café kicks off the new year with healthly eating and exercise advice.
