-

JAMES EWART is looking forward to the future after Lord Wishes ( 8- 11f) romped away with the opening maiden hurdle at Musselburgh.

Ewart said: “He is the nicest horse we have and I’m delighted he has done it so well.”

“We will go for a race at Doncaster with him next and he will be a lovely chaser in time.”

Despite suffering from dehydration earlier in the day Danny Cook bagged a cracking 91-1 four-timer.

He got up by a nose in the juvenile hurdle on the well-fancied favourite Totalise ( 11- 10f) and had earlier taken the 3m handicap chase on Dusky Bob (15-8f) and Imperial Vic (10-11f) landed the 3m novices’ hurdle.

He signed off for the day taking the bumper on Amisfield Lad (7-1) for Newcastle handler Michael Smith.

The winning jockey said: “I am based with Neil King and things are going well, that’s my 9th winner this season.”
