Renowned tea clipper painting set to fetch £35k

A PA INTING of one of Scotland’s finest tea clippers, built in Glasgow, is expected to fetch up to £35,000 at auction next month.

The Glittering Spindrift Running Before the Wind was painted by renowned marine painter Montague Dawson in the mid 20th Century.

It depicts the legendary Spindrift, the longest ever wooden clipper in the trade.
