Phoenix eye glory in junior play-off finals

FOR THE first time in the history of Perth Phoenix basketball team, they will have a side in the junior league play-off finals today.

The under-18 men’s side, who have already made a Scottish Cup final this season, will face Clark Eriksson Fury for the trophy.

Team captain Michael Wallace said: “We are a strong team who are enjoying playing together and we know that if we play our best game on the day then we are capable of winning.”

Russel Kesson, Scotland under-16 men’s head coach and Perth Phoenix head coach, said: “We hope that our play-off matches are as competitiv­e and entertaini­ng as our Scottish Cup one.

“Both myself and all the players are looking forward to making our Phoenix family proud.”
