JOINING THE battle to save existing services at Stracathro Hospital near Brechin, Montrose Community Council are to launch a petition in a bid to drum up support. At their monthly meeting concern was expressed by members who have been following the issue since Grampian Health Board made known its intention to withdraw orthopaedic services from Stracathro to Aberdeen. “We intend to raise huge support through canvassing and distributing the petition,” said chairman Frank Wood.
