Nade hopes Dens efforts attract club

CHRISTIAN NADE is hoping that his highly-charged displays in helping Dundee secure the Championship title will help him find another club in Scotland.

The 29-year-old Frenchman brought his career back to life in his short spell at Dens Park and helped transform his reputation from the “fat and lazy” player during his time at Hearts, into a forceful attacker who scored in the last two games as the Dark Blues just pipped Hamilton to the title.

The former Sheffield United striker was signed by former Dens Park boss John Brown in January after more than a year out of the game and he worked hard on his f itness to get himself into shape and was included by new Dundee boss Paul Hartley as the title race heated up.

However, with Hartley signing frontmen Greg Stewart from Cowdenbeath and ex-Falkirk player Phil Roberts, Nade was let go after helping clinch the title.

Nade said: “I really enjoyed my time at Dundee and winning the league with them was the best day of my life.

“The fans were terrific with me there and sent me lots of messages thanking me for helping Dundee win the title.

“Dundee may have released me but they have played a big part in getting my career going again. I have lost a lot of weight and I am in a really good shape.

“I have enjoyed playing in Scotland and want to continue.

“Hopefully a club will give me the chance to show what I am about nowadays.”
