At Cargill Jason French landed his first salmon and Paul Clarke had fish from the bridge stream on his three-day trip.

Despite lower water levels, Upper Islamouth and Meikleour had a successful week, where the highlight was Alex Rearie catching a sea-liced 16-pounder on Saturday.

On the middle river Murthly and Glendelvin­e are having an outstandin­g period with another 31 fish this week.

There were 18 at Newtyle, with Peter Dobson, Jack Hopper, John Gunn, Ronnie Fraser, Graham Fyfe, Andrew Watkin and David Gardner among the successful anglers.

At Dunkeld House one of the 12 fish was a 21lb specimen from the Gauge Pool and there was a first ever for Chris Barr on the fly.

Jim Andrew was one of the successful rods on the Upper Kinnaird beat.

On the Tummel Neil McLennen had a superb day on East Haugh on Monday, landing five salmon on fly. At Pitlochry Dam 19 salmon were caught on the angling club stretch.

Loch Faskally reported two fish in the week, with successful rods including Gary Gormley with a 10lb fish on a Rapala lure.

The Upper areas are seeing fish on their beats.

Seven salmon were reported from the Farleyer and Findynate beats.
