Rain dashes Scotland’s hopes

Scotland’s hopes of clinching the T20 series against Ireland were dashed last night when rain ruled out any action in the second tussle in Bready.

Preston Mommsen’s men held on to their 1-0 lead in the wake of the previous day’s decisive triumph.

Now they will turn their focus to tomorrow’s final encounter when they will be determined to avoid defeat.
