Forsyth earns draw in opener
The opening game of this weekend’s three-game series between Scotland and Wales ended in a 4-4 draw at Glasgow National Hockey Centre last night.
Alan Forsyth netted a double, his second coming just before full time to earn the share. Captain Chris Grassick and Wei Adams were also on the scoresheet for the Scots.
The games are part of the hosts’ preparations for the Euro-Hockey Championship II in Prague from July 18-26.
Michael Ross and Gavin Byers, both of Grove Menzieshill, are the only two local players in the extended squad.
Scotland’s under-21 team are also in action in a four nations tournament in Glasgow, beginning against England today.
