Driving ambition of Dizzy’s Rascals to aid Macmillan

-

Three Milnathort men yesterday attempted a gruelling golf challenge to raise £2,500 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Playing under the name Dizzy’s Rascals, Iain Hardie, Mike Jones and Craig Allan, all aged 52, took part in the Longest Day Challenge, which saw teams across the country complete four rounds of golf in one day.

Iain and his team-mates decided to take part in the event following the death of Iain’s father, John, earlier this year. Mike’s wife, Sally, lost her stepfather, also John, in the same week, both to cancer.

“We wanted to do something to recognise the wonderful support that we had from Macmillan during their illnesses,” Iain said.
