Fishing boat’s occupant safe after mayday call
A man has been rescued from a small fishing vessel after it drifted on to rocks.
The air and sea rescue was launched at around 8.10am yesterday after the single occupant of the boat issued a mayday call one mile east of Portsoy, Aberdeenshire.
Two lifeboats from Macduff and Buckie and the Rescue Bond 1 helicopter were summoned to the scene.
The man was rescued safe and well.
