Wands returns to Flyers

Fife Flyers yesterday confirmed that their British Player of the Year Chris Wands will start his 11th season with the club in September.

Kirkcaldy-born Wands also won most improved player of the year and goal of the year last season and is a fans’ favourite.

The 27-year-old defenceman said: “I’m looking forward to getting on the ice with the team and getting the season under way.”

Head coach Todd Dutiaume said: “Chris battled his way back into the line-up last season and has continued to make strides this off-season.”
