Trophy back where it belongs
Glenalmond College’s U15 cricket team are celebrating winning the national T20 competition at Doo’ Cot Park in Perth. Having beaten Strathallan to win the regional T20 finals, Glenalmond was ready to challenge for the national title. Having lost out to Edinburgh’s George Watson’s College last year, the Glenalmond boys were determined to regain the trophy that has sat in the school’s trophy cabinet for three out of the previous four years. Glenalmond faced Arbroath High School in the final. Once again the Perthshire team elected to bowl first and took control from the outset, restricting Arbroath to 71 all out. After a solid opening partnership and some clean hitting towards the end Glenalmond recorded a seven wicket victory in the ninth over.
