Man detained after disturbance

Police confirmed yesterday that a man had been detained by police after a woman in her 60s was assaulted and held against her will during a terrifying experience in Kirkcaldy.

Police in Fife appealed for witnesses following the incident which happened around 10am on Saturday at an address in Harris Drive in the Templehall area.

The woman was entering her home when an unknown man followed her into the property, where she was then assaulted and threatened.

The suspect left the property after four hours.

Police issued a description of him and appealed for witnesses.
