A9 maintenance work begins
Maintenance work on retaining walls began yesterday beside the A9.
The £30,000 work, undertaken by BEAR Scotland over a four-week period, is taking place on the retaining walls at Killiecrankie, three miles north of Pitlochry.
As a result, this section of the A9 will require temporary lane closures on both the northbound and southbound carriageways during the period of the work.
A spokesperson for BEAR Scotland said: “These essential maintenance works will be carried out from 7am to 7pm each day, with no works planned at weekends. Traffic management will be removed outside of working hours.”
And Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s operating company representative for the northwest, added: “These works are required to ensure the retaining walls at Killiecrankie are kept in a safe operational condition.”
