Action plan for development

-

The community of Rannoch and Tummel is looking to inspire residents and businesses to think big with their dreams for the area.

A newly formed Community Fund Group wants to develop facilities and services that will shape the future development of the whole area.

They are working with independent consultants Community Enterprise to draw up a 10-year action plan.

Two public meetings will be held to give residents the chance to have their say on what they think will make Rannoch and Tummel a better place to live.

The meetings will take place on Tuesday, from 7 to 9pm, in the Rannoch Village Hall and Wednesday, from 10am to noon, in the Rannoch Village Manse.

Richard Barclay, chairman of the Community Fund Group, said: “This is a unique and timely moment for the people of Rannoch and Tummel to mould a community with vibrancy, honesty and vision fit for the future, and ensuring the physical splendour of the area is met by the aspirations of those that live here.

“I would urge everyone to get involved in whatever way they can and ensure that their voice is heard.”

The group plans to launce a Facebook page but residents can also contact Rannoch and Tummel Community Fund Group by emailing rannochnews@gmail.com or Bob Benson at bob@benson.org.
