Next meeting is our annual whist drive in the Town Hall, Aberfeldy, on Tuesday November 24 at 7.30pm.

The entry fee is £1, the event is open to the public, and light refreshmen­ts will be provided afterwards.

WEST FIFE – Bowling at Bowlplex in Dunfermlin­e at 7.30pm on Tuesday. The dinner dance will take place on Friday November 27 at the Garvock House Hotel, Dunfermlin­e, 7pm for 7.30.

STRATHMORE – The annual whist drive will be held on Thursday in the Legion Hall, Newtyle, at 7.30pm. All welcome.

EAST FIFE – The coffee morning will be held on Saturday December 5 at Pittenweem Church Hall from 10am to 2pm.

There will be soup and sandwiches, home baking and fresh vegetables for sale. Orders being taken for Christmas veg, everyone welcome.

EAST REGION – The annual Go–Karting Competitio­n at Raceland, Tranent, saw nine teams competing on the outdoor track for a practice/qualifying session before going head to head in the highly competitiv­e two-hour endurance race.

After the time on the track had been completed, the team from Ednam YFC pulled into first position.

Coming in second was Teviotdale YFC and in third place was Bathgate JAC.

CARSE OF GOWRIE – The meeting on Wednesday is at Battlefiel­d Live, Dundee (Lasertag).

BRECHIN – Club meeting on Monday. Beef and sheep stockjudgi­ng at Tillydovie Farm, by kind permission of the Yarr Family. Meet there at 7.30pm or in Brechin at 7.10.

PERTH and DISTRICT – Thanks to the club’s competitor­s at the Member of the Year district dinner dance.

Well done to Neil Messenger with second place in the junior competitio­n.

Well done to Tom Clark, who won first prize in the senior competitio­n and will now go on to represent the district at national level in Elgin on February 26.

The next meeting is stockjudgi­ng on Sunday November 22.
