St John’s Youth Festival Concert

A showcase of some of the finest young performing artists in Courier Country is being staged tonight.

The Perth and Kinross Festival of Youth will bring together more than 200 musicians and dancers at Perth Concert Hall.

Organised by St John Perth and Kinross and supported by The Gannochy Trust, the event will also raise funds for Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance.

Dr John FergusonSmith, chairman of St John Perth and Kinross, said: “The programme will take us from Burns to the West End and Chopin to Celtica, performed on everything from bagpipes to bass guitars.

“We’re delighted to use the event to support Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance, which, like the Order of St John, is dedicated to saving and improving lives.”

The programme will appeal to all and includes soloists, choirs, bands, orchestra and dance.
