Call for city hall to be on agenda

Pete Wishart, MP for Perth and North Perthshire, hopes demolition of Perth City Hall will be one of the options considered during the current review.

“When will the people of Perth finally have an answer to the ongoing saga with Perth City Hall?” he asked. “All of the plans put before Perth and Kinross Council to date have fallen short and it seems like we are once again back to the drawing board.

“I believe that Perth is in dire need of a civic space to host year round activities and the area which the city hall occupies would be an excellent location for such a facility.

“I fully support Councillor Miller’s decision to suspend the negotiations on the lease of the site”.
