String classes were held in St Leonard’s-in-the-Fields Church yesterday as part of the Perform in Perth festival.

Today there is a day-long break in the programme, with the festival resuming tomorrow at the AK Bell Library in Perth with verse speaking classes.

“We are into the second week and everything is going extremely well,” said festival secretary Michael Jamieson.

“Audiences have been good this year, particular­ly for the country dancing.”

The festival runs until March 19.
