Forfar YFC members to the fore at market
Young farmers from across Angus put their skills at overwintering cattle on the line at Forfar Mart when 44 cattle came under the scrutiny of judge Scott Innes from Findhorn.
Top honours went to Forfar YFC members. The champion was a Limousin cross from Andrew Adam and the reserve, also a Limousin cross, was shown by Matthew Steel.
The 44 cattle averaged £1,100(217 pp er kilo) Bullock calves (30) ave 212p per kilo or £1,100. Heifer calves (14) ave 229 por £1,180.
