Scotland U21 call-up for Dundee star

Mark O’Hara’s impressive early season form for Dundee has been recognised at national level.

The former Kilmarnock star has been a revelation for Paul Hartley’s side in midfield and was on the scoresheet again in the 1-1 draw with Hamilton last Friday.

O’Hara is joined in the Scotland under-21 squad for the matches against Macedonia and Ukraine by St Johnstone goalkeeper Mark Hurst and former Dundee United duo John Souttar and Ryan Gauld.

Meanwhile the Dark Blues have been linked with a move for former Motherwell defender Tom Hateley.

Dundee’s Mark O’Hara has been named in the Scotland under-21 squad for the matches against Macedonia and Ukraine.

O’Hara, who has been listed as a defender in coach Ricky Sbragia’s selection, has been a revelation in midfield for the Dens men since joining them from Kilmarnock.

Also included is St Johnstone goalkeeper Mark Hurst and former Dundee United duo John Souttar and Ryan Gauld.

The Scots face Macedonia at Tynecastle a week on Friday then travel to Kiev the following Tuesday.
