While it is true that most athletes take pleasure from the activity they excel at, Dundee man Craig Spall is someone who literally gets a “kick” out of his sporting pastime. Craig (22), of Baldovan Terrace, is an avid kung fu kick boxer and will be displaying his talents this weekend as one of only three Scots in the Great Britain team at the world championships in Berlin. He will be competing in the under-67kg senior section and has high hopes of improving on his fourth place in 1989.
