Kerr believes Dundee have turned corner

-

Cammy Kerr believes Saturday’s win over Motherwell proves that Dundee have finally turned the corner as they attempt to climb the Premiership table.

The 21-year-old wing-back was one of the Dark Blues’ goal heroes in the morale-boosting 2-0 victory.

It was the second win in a row for Paul Hartley’s side following last week’s victory at Hamilton as well as consecutive clean sheets for Dundee.

Kerr also acknowledged that the club’s fans, who had been patiently waiting for the first league victory at Dens this season, had played their part in roaring the team to victory and he is hoping the players can continue the run after the international break.

He said: “The reason the fans were so good today was that they saw how together everyone was as a team.

“Especially after the result last week, it has boosted everyone at the club.

“We knew ourselves that there are always going to be questions asked if you are not winning games of football.

“But I think we have turned the corner now and obviously we are hoping to push on.

“We have a hard game after the international break at Rangers.

“But we will go there and have a go as that’s us full of confidence now.

“I think the break has come at a good time. We have had a hard week.

“The weeks before had drained us because we were not winning. The rest will help everyone and do us good.”
