Back Breuil for success at Sedgefield

Ben Pauling’s hopeful is showing signs of being decent novice

- THE FERRET

LE BREUIL catches the eye in the Newcastle Flooring Novices’ Hurdle at Sedgefield.

Ben Pauling thinks highly of him and he lived up to his reputation when winning his bumper by 10 lengths at Warwick.

He looked ready for hurdles when only fourth at Bangor under a penalty and he could be a decent novice. In his younger days, Sue Smith’s

BLAKEMOUNT looked booked for a very bright future.

Injury has prevented him from realising that potential, but he finally returned to winning ways in March.

Up just 3lb, he is still only eight so there is time yet for him to progress on his reappearance in the Nortonthorpe Ind Park Sir Benjamin Wright Handicap Chase.

Grand National-winning rider Timmy Murphy makes a fleeting return over obstacles in the Lingfield Park “Flat Jockeys” Handicap Hurdle and his mount JELLY MONGER should be backed.

Trained by Dominic Ffrench Davis, Jelly Monger has taken to hurdling really well and is far less exposed than most of his rivals.

Given the advantage of Murphy in the saddle, he should be hard to beat.
