Hotel books major renovation

-

A Perth hotel has undergone a £750,000 transformation.

The Holiday Inn Express on Dunkeld Road has had a complete renovation of all its 81 guest bedrooms, public areas and two meeting rooms.

The work, which has taken 18 months to complete, involved a fresh design for bedrooms including new carpets, curtains, chairs and sofa beds.

The corridors received new carpets and painting.

The two meeting rooms have been revamped with improved lighting, blinds, carpets, tables, chairs and pictures of the local area.

In addition, the hotel, which employs 30 people and opened in 1999, enhanced the front of house with new furniture, carpets and lighting.

Morag Morgan, general manager at the Holiday Inn Express Perth, said they were delighted the difference the investment had made.

“We are thrilled to unveil our newly renovated hotel,” she said.

“Now that it’s complete, our guests and staff can now fully enjoy the investment made.

“We have a real mix of people who stay with us or use our events and meeting spaces, from local Perth companies to leisure guests.

“Our location, just off the A9, has been key to our success as we are ideally placed for the business and leisure travellers going further north or south as well as being a key supplier to the local corporate market.”
