Festival lets people branch out
Pitlochry Church of Scotland is holding its fourth annual Christmas Tree Festival.
The festival is an invitation to businesses, voluntary organisations, charities, families and individuals to provide a real or artificial Christmas tree which they also decorate in a way that advertises or promotes their interests or a particular charity.
The trees will all be displayed inside Pitlochry Church of Scotland on Saturday from 10am till 4pm and Sunday 12pm till 4pm.
There will also be a Christmas carol concert on the Sunday at 6.30pm to celebrate the end of the festival and reveal the winner of the best tree contest.
It will also be a chance to announce the details of the money raised for charity partners Playlist for Life, which helps families and carers create personal playlists for people with dementia, and Perth Autism Support, a local charity supporting children, and the families of children, under the age of 18 who have been diagnosed with autism.
“Come along and visit the church and enjoy what should be a magical, colourful, interesting and innovative display of decorated Christmas trees, all illustrating different themes captivating the hearts and imaginations of children and adults alike,” said a church spokesman.
In the Church of Scotland Tryst and lounge, there will be a craft market, refreshments and visits from Santa Claus.
