TABLE SALE:

Stanley SNP group will be hosting an indoor “car boot” table sale and raffle in the village hall between 10am and 1pm on Saturday.

CHRISTMAS FAIR:

A Christmas Fair will be held in Kinrossie Hall on Saturday December 3 from 2pm.

On offer will be all the usual stalls, including cake and candy, local produce and festive items.

There will also be space for three private sellers, with anyone interested in a table asked to call Angela Williamson of Kinrossie Hall committee on 01821 650404.

LADIES’ NIGHT:

A ladies’ night in Dunning Church hall raised more than £300 for Aberuthven and Dunning Parish Church of Scotland.

The fashion was supplied by Matleen and Adel of Integro Image.

INCHYRA MUSIC:

Leeds-based foursome the Dunwells will be playing at Inchyra Arts Club on Wednesday November 30.

Formed by brothers Joe and Dave Dunwell with a couple of friends, the band has been gaining plaudits wherever they go.

They specialise in downto-earth songwritin­g and big choruses backed by “electroinf­used indie music”. Doors open for food and bar at 7pm with the show starting at 8.

BOOK TALK:

Independen­t bookshop and coffee house the Birnam Reader will be the venue for a writer and publisher talk tomorrow at 7pm.

Perthshire author David Millar will discuss his latest book, A Chocolate Soldier, and will be joined by his publisher Dr Paul S Philippou, from Tippermuir Books.
