PERTH SHERIFF COURT

-

A man threw a doll’s house to the floor in a rage after an argument with his partner.

Gerrard Cameron smashed the Barbie toy, as well as a child’s dressing table and a DVD stand during the rampage on October 22.

Depute fiscal Craig Donald told the court: “The accused and his family had attended a function at the Salutation Hotel in Perth.

“At around 11.30pm they were leaving and the accused returned home, where he began to argue with the complainer in relation to a falling out which occurred at the function.

“He entered into one of the children’s bedrooms and lost his temper, shouting ‘This is all your fault, this is all your fault’.

“At that stage the complainer positioned herself between the accused and the children, asking that he didn’t threaten the children.

“The accused appears to have lost control, kicking a DVD stand and breaking it.

“Subsequently he picked up a Barbie doll’s house, throwing it to the floor and breaking it, as well as breaking a child’s dressing table.”

Solicitor Paul Ralph said: “Mr Cameron knows it was very stupid behaviour and appalling to do it in front of the children as well.”

Cameron, 34, pled guilty to behaving in a threatening and abusive manner at an address in Perth by shouting, swearing, acting aggressively towards the woman and entering a child’s bedroom and damaging toys and furniture.

Sheriff Ian Anderson fined Cameron, of St Andrews Street, Perth, £450.

A woman is to stand trial accused of repeatedly kicking a six-year-old boy in the head.

Amanda Fuller denies attacking the boy at an address in Perth on July 7.

The 31-year-old, of Scone, will appear in court again in February.

A man has admitted growing cannabis in his Perth cottage.

Tyler Abbot was caught with three plants after police raided his home.

Solicitor Paul Ralph said the 30-year-old’s operation was “not sophisticated” and the immature plants were for his own use.

Abbott admitted producing cannabis at an address in Muirhall Road on August 31.

Sentence was deferred until the new year for reports.
