Moor the merrier at Warwick
Mare showed enough speed over obstacles to be capable of the win
Jessica Harrington’s ROCK ON THE MO OR can land the feature Lady Go diva Mares’ Novices’ Chase at Warwick.
She has gone chasing a little later than some as she is already eight, but she showed enough on her first run over the bigger obstacles to suggest she should be just as effective.
Very capable over hurdles, she was second to Vroum Vroum Mag in the Mares’ Hurdle at Cheltenham in March.
Harrington had no worries starting her life over fences in Grade Three company and she ran a blinder, finishing a three-length third to Willie Mullins’ decent Westerner Lady.
Given the two who beat her had far more experience over the bigger obstacles, her run suggested she should be capable of winning a race like this.
Alan King’s DINGO DOLLAR should also be backed in the Wrights Of Campden Maiden Hurdle.
A point-to-point winner, he was beaten by a good one in Lough Derg Leader at Bangor on his hurdling debut.
WAITING PATIENTLY created a good impression on his first run for Malcolm Jefferson and looks the one to be on in the Clearly Drinks Novices’ Chase.
He may struggle in handicaps following a 13lb rise after winning on his chasing bow at Sedgefield and while that form is not strong, it was hard not to be impressed by the way he went about his job.
This will be a much tougher assignment but connections will be hoping for more of the same to keep the dream alive.
SUPERSTA can show the benefit of a recent outing in the totepoolliveinfo. com For Racing Results Handicap at Chelmsford. SELECTIONS:
