RATTRAY CONCERT: The Balmoral Road Hall in Rattray will host a Christmas Fiddlers’ Rally on Saturday.

Entertainm­ent will be the Dunkeld and Birnam Reel Society and bothy singer Scott Gardiner, with the fun starting at 7.15pm.

Tickets should be booked in advance from Ally Muir on 01250 873602 but will be available on the door on the night. MILLER HOMES: Christmas has come early to Kinross and Crossgates with a little help from the local housebuild­er.

After the Crossgates Gala Committee raised concerns about the amount of money available to keep traditiona­l Christmas events running in 2016, Miller Homes covered the cost of the community’s Christmas tree.

The money also allowed for a donation to be made to Kinross Round Table. FREE COURSE: Perth and Kinross Council has organised two five-week courses for adults who struggle with technology or want to learn how to use their iPad or tablet.

The free courses begin in January and February and take place at the North Inch Community Campus in Perth, where a wealth of help will be on offer.

PERTH: Matt Monro Jr will perform The Matt Monro Story: One Voice in tribute to his legendary father at Perth Concert Hall on March 1.

The man dubbed The Singer’s Singer and The Man With The Golden Voice clocked up 100 million sales in his lifetime.

He was the first singer ever to sing on a James Bond film – From Russia With Love – and he contribute­d to The Italian Job.
