The Great Pottery Throw Down

There’s no chance of a Hollywood handshake, Mary Berry wink, or even a glimpse of Patrick Grant’s facial hair, but there’s still no doubt that The Great Pottery Throw Down is from the same stable as the Bake Off and Sewing Bee. It’s actually almost 18 months since the first series was shown. A few people raised their eyebrows a little when DJ Sara Cox was announced as the presenter. Actually, she is one of the show’s major plus points. What could be regarded as a rather dry subject, not to mention slow TV, is enlivened by her delivery – Cox turns it into an entertaining watch thanks to her witty retorts.
