FLORAL MEMORIES The next meeting of Perthshire Floral Art Club will be held at the Royal George Hotel, Perth, on Tuesday February 21 from 7.30pm.

Lesley Nelson from Kinross will give a demonstrat­ion on the theme memories.

The group will also hold their annual meeting that evening. PRIZE BINGO Tayside Kidney Patients Associatio­n is holding a prize bingo event at the RDM Institute in Scone on Friday from 7.30pm.

Admission is £1 and all are welcome. FAMILY HISTORY The North Perthshire Family History Group holds its February meeting in the Moulin Hall on Thursday at 2.30pm.

Guest speaker will be AK Bell Library archivist Sarah Wilcock who will offer an insight into some of the more unusual sources used by Perth and Kinross Council’s archives team to research family history.

Admission is free to members and £3 for non-members. BAT TALK The Scottish Wildlife Trust’s Perth Centre will lead a discussion on bats in the Luncarty Church Centre on Friday between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.

Jean Oudney from the Perth Bat Group will give an illustrate­d talk about the flying mammals. FOLK MUSIC Glenfarg Village Folk Club returns to Backstage at the Green Hotel in Kinross on Monday February 20.

Entertainm­ent will come from top duo Quicksilve­r, comprising singer Hilary Spencer and musician Grant Baynham.

Doors open at 7.30pm, with admission £6 for members and £9 for non-members. SALE SUCCESS A bring-and-buy sale organised by the Burrelton and Woodside Senior Club has made £479.

Organisers have thanked everyone who donated items for raffle prizes and stalls, as well as home baking and tea.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday February 23. SAFE PLACE Safe Place will meet tomorrow, from noon to 2pm at Perth Museum.
