The View announce Tayside concert dates

-

Dundee indie stars The View have been announced as the final act to play at this year’s Perth Festival of the Arts.

The quartet – Kyle Falconer, Kieren Webster, Pete Reilly, Steven Morrison and Paul Band – are expected to draw a huge crowd to Perth Concert Hall on Saturday May 20.

It is a coup for organisers who have been working hard to attract top quality Scottish and international acts to the festival.

In recent years, KT Tunstall and the Proclaimers have starred on the bill, with The View seen as a top booking for 2017 in a year in which Perth is bidding to become City of Culture 2021.

The announcement of The View completes the line-up for the festival.

Pre-sale tickets will be available from 10am on Monday March 20 and tickets for general booking at 10am on Monday March 27.

Meanwhile, the group is to play an intimate gig in Broughty Ferry next week.

As part of Record Store Day 2017, they will play a set at Assai Records on Tuesday March 21 between 5.30pm and 6pm.

Entrance is free, but any donations made towards chosen charity Help Musicians UK will be welcomed.

Admission to the gig is limited to the first 35 to 40 fans present.
