Success for J&J Graham
Clyde and Central Young Farmers had forward 26 show cattle at their show and sale at Caledonian Markets, Stirling.
Judge Aileen Ritchie, Tamala, Whitecairns, awarded the overall championship to J&J Graham, Mains of Burnbank, Blairdrummond, for their 11-month-old Limousin X heifer. It sold to £1,700 to Fraser McNicol, Turnault, Lochgilphead.
The reserve overall champion rosette went to Stephanie Dick, Mains of Throsk, Stirling, for her January born Limousin heifer, which sold to W Moir, Home Farm, Cairness, at £1,350.

Clyde and Central Young Farmers also had forward 24 prime hoggets at their show and sale, averaging 202ppk overall.
The overall champion pair came from A Morton, Lochend, which weighed in at 51kg and sold to £112 to MJ Stark, Bluebell, Milton of Campsie.
The overall reserve pair sold to £87, weighing in at 40kg, to We Hae Meats, Girvan.

The open spring show championship went to S&L Bett, Newmill, Airth, with a Charolais X heifer weighing 555kg and selling to £2,100 to AF Thomson.
The reserve champion went to H Dunlop, Holehouse, Ochiltree, for a Limousin X at 510kg and £1,450, bought by J Paterson & Son, Low Three Mark, Stoneykirk.
