-

Lochee United overcame the handicap of playing 70 minutes with 10 men to post a 1-0 victory over Broxburn at Thomson Park.

Keeper Mark Fotheringham was dismissed after bringing down Alex Miller just outside the box.

The goal that won it came after 58 minutes when Greg Kirk was brought down in the box for a penalty. Bryan Deasley took it and although his initial effort was saved, he followed up to net the rebound.

Carnoustie slipped to a second successive defeat, losing 4-1 at second-from-bottom Newtongrange Star.

Jack Wilson gave the hosts the lead from a penalty but the Gowfers levelled after 67 minutes from a penalty converted by Gordon McDonald.

But the relegation-threatened hosts immediately regained the lead through Kyle Lander.

Two Sean Lally strikes sealed an afternoon to forget for Alan McSkimming’s men.

Hill of Beath twice had to come from behind to pick up a precious point at Camelon.

Lee Bryce squared matters in the first half, with Greg Smith getting the all-important second.

Meanwhile, there is one fixture involving Courier Country clubs this evening with Dundonald Bluebell travelling to Prestonfield to meet Linlithgow Rose.

Kick-off is at 6.45.
