Fatherhood sees View frontman’s trial postponed

-

Dundee rocker Kyle Falconer’s air rage trial was postponed because he has just become a father.

The View frontman, 29, denies threatening passengers while armed with two bottles, and hurling homophobic abuse at a male cabin crew member, on a flight from Spain to Scotland.

He was due to go on trial next month over his alleged antics on the June 2016 Jet2 flight.

His fiancee, Laura Wylde, 22, gave birth to their baby girl, named Wylde Elizabeth Falconer, earlier this month and she is unable to give evidence.

The trial is now due to take place in June.

During the flight Falconer is accused of breaking the law on, the captain made an emergency landing in Nantes, France, to have him removed, and the matter was reported to Police Scotland.

He was later released from French custody and travelled to Southampton, before flying to Glasgow Airport, where he was detained by police officers and subsequently prosecuted at Paisley Sheriff Court.
