Two men are to stand trial accused of assaulting a woman in Perth.

Mark Flynn and Kyle Sandilands are said to have attacked Marta Pyjko on Crieff Road, Perth on March 18.

Flynn, 20, is accused of pushing her over a wall, while 18-year-old Sandilands is accused of repeatedly trying to punch her.

The pair, who are both from Perth, deny the charges and will stand trial on August 8.

A teenage girl is to stand trial accused of racially abusing a man at a Kinross takeaway.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is said to have acted in a racially aggravated manner towards Mohammad Ali by making racist remarks, acting in an aggressive manner and throwing food containers at Flames takeaway on April 8.

She is further accused of assaulting Mr Ali by repeatedly spitting at him, and of wilfully destroying property at the takeaway by breaking a glass door panel.

She denies the charges and will stand trial on August 8.

A man has appeared in court accused of sending racist or religiousl­y offensive messages through social media.

The case against Daniel Cochrane, 57, of Iona Court, Perth, was continued without plea until May 12.

A man has admitted possession of heroin at Perth prison on December 19.

Sentence on Nathan Yates, 38, of St Leonard’s Court, Burntislan­d, was deferred.
