PERTH: The Perth branch of the Embroidere­rs’ Guild meets in the Oakbank Community Centre this afternoon between 2pm and 4pm.

Members will stage an open afternoon with tea and cakes, bring-and-buy and book stalls, plus examples of stitching.

All are welcome to attend. SCONE: Scone and District Community Council holds its annual general meeting in the Robert Douglas Memorial Institute on Monday May 29 at 7.30pm.

All are welcome to attend. KINROSS: Glenfarg Folk Club’s latest Singaround takes place at Backstage at the Green Hotel, Kinross on Monday May 22 when the theme will be “animals and colours”.

Doors open at 7.30pm, with the music starting at 8pm. BALBEGGIE: The annual general meeting of the St Martins Public Hall will be held in the hall on Tuesday May 23 at 7pm. CARSE OF GOWRIE: The Carse Associatio­n for Continuing Education (CACE) holds its annual general meeting into the Inchture Village Hall on Friday May 19 from 7pm.

The review of classes and activities will also feature class displays, a book stall and a raffle, for which donations will be appreciate­d.

Visit www.cace.org.uk for more informatio­n. MADDERTY The Madderty Church Guild is planning a two-day Festival of Flowers. The event takes place at the church from 10am to 4pm on Saturday May 27 and continues 1.30-4.30pm the following day.

It will raise money for the church guild.
