Dundee Congregational Church in the city’s Constitution Road will play host to pageantry and emotion tomorrow, May 14, when the Angus and Perthshire Standard of the Royal British Legion Scotland is laid up for safe keeping in the church, and a new standard, that of Angus, Perthshire and Fife Area, is dedicated.

The service will be conducted by the Rev David Taylor, Legion Scotland’s Area Chaplain, and Lt Gen Sir Alistair Irwin, National President of Legion Scotland, will recite Binyon’s Lines For The Fallen.

Readings and prayers will be delivered by Charlie Brown from Forfar, Legion Scotland’s National Chairman; Alastair McLean from Crieff, Chairman of the Angus, Perthshire and Fife Area; and Peter Crawford MBE MStJ, known to many as the compère and producer of the Caird Hall Festival of Remembrance.

The service begins at 1.30 pm, and all are welcome, especially those with an ex-Service connection.
