Miller issues rallying call for Hearts clash

-

Kenny Miller has urged his

team-mates to fight to the line even if their days at Ibrox are numbered.

Boss Pedro Caixinha is spelling out to his players which of them have a future with the club next season.

Three players – which Press Association Sport understands includes defenders Clint Hill and Philippe Senderos – have been told they are free to leave this summer, and more could follow next week.

But the coach still has three games to negotiate before the end of a season to forget, and a mounting injury list.

Veteran frontman Miller admits his side cannot afford passengers as they gear up for today’s clash with Hearts.

On-loan pair Emerson Hyndman and Jon Toral have returned to parent clubs Bournemouth and Arsenal early after picking up knocks, with skipper Lee Wallace leading a casualty list that already includes defenders Lee Hodson, Rob Kiernan and Senderos, and midfield duo Niko Kranjcar and Jordan Rossiter.

full-backs Andraz Struna and Lennard Sowah are set to miss out, while Faycal Rherras has left the club.

Jamie Walker is suspended and long-term injury victims John Souttar (Achilles) and Callum Paterson (knee) remain on the sidelines.

boss Martin Canning has a healthy squad available for today’s visit by Lanarkshire rivals

Winger Louis Longridge should be back from the thigh knock which kept him out of last week’s defeat at fellow relegation strugglers Inverness.

The Steelem are hopeful defender Steven Hammell will be fit.

Russell Griffiths is set to continue in goal. Stephen Pearson (groin) is likely to miss out again, as will Jacob Blyth (ankle), Ross MacLean (shoulder), Stephen McManus, Richard Tait (both groin) and Jack McMillan (wrist).

Jamie MacDonald will return to the line-up for the visit by today.

Young defender Innes Cameron also returns following duty with Scotland U17s.

Greg Taylor is suspended, while injured duo Scott Boyd (foot) and Rory McKenzie (knee) miss out again.

ICT have midfielders Liam Polworth and Iain Vigurs back in their squad.

Polworth returns from suspension and Vigurs is back after illness forced him out of the victory over Hamilton.

Goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams (groin) remains out, along with long-term absentees Carl Tremarco, Aaron Doran and Josh Meekings (all knee).
