“The gaffer wanted us to watch it so we could have inspiration to what it means to everybody.
“It’s these little triggers of emotion that will hopefully give you that extra five, 10% going into the game. We need to do it for the club and also the community.”
Carrick began the season with his parent club and admits it was been a campaign of highs and lows after getting his hands on a League One winner’s medal.
He added: “I played pretty much the first half of the season at Livingston after I broke my hand and I qualified for a League One winner’s medal.
“It’s definitely been an interesting season in terms of being in the mix of both the positive of going for a title and then being in the fight against relegation.
“It’s something that I’ve definitely learned from going through both these experiences.”
Blue Brazil boss Gary Locke reckons that the positivity that has been built up at Central Park in recent weeks, despite their last placed finish in the SPFL.
He explained: “It will be a hard game but we are looking forward to it. Going up to Elgin last weekend and keeping a clean sheet against a side going for a play-off place was good preparation for this game.”
Shaun Rutherford is out after the appeal against his dismissal in last month’s game with Forfar was not successful, with Locke saying: “I was really surprised by that decision. We have to accept it but it was a surprise.”
