It’s ‘an absolute tragedy’

Dundee’s new lord provost has said the image of a male drug user collapsed in public causes him “considerable concern”.

Ian Borthwick said everyone in Dundee “must make every effort to ensure the problem does not get worse”.

He said: “I find it extremely sad that our city is experiencing this. It is an absolute tragedy for families. It causes me considerable concern that we have reached this point. The dealers are at the root of the problem.”
