Builder’s support for air ambulance
A Perthshire building company has committed to a two-year deal to raise funds for Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA).
Hadden Construction Ltd is using its 25th anniversary as a launch pad for the commitment to the country’s only charity funded helicopter air ambulance service.
The Aberuthven-based firm is hoping its business partners will also get on board.
Chairman and founder Scott Hadden said that the support partnership with the Perth Airport-based life-saving service was their way of “giving back” to benefit communities all across Scotland.
“Our company is active at construction sites across the country and our employees’ safety – both at work and travelling – is very important to us,” he said.
“You never know when any one of us might need a service like SCAA – a rapid response helicopter that flies expert paramedic care quickly to the scene to treat those ill or injured and then airlifts them swiftly to hospital.
“SCAA was the unanimous choice of our board when selecting a Scottish charity to support as we mark 25 years in business. It’s a very special time for us and we want to do something special for SCAA.”
Plans are still ongoing but early suggestions include a charity golf day, sponsored walk, quiz night and a major charity ball to round off the fundraising and silver anniversary celebrations.
